Requests for home visits should only be made if the patient is unfit to travel to the surgery. It is at the doctors discretion as to whether a home visit is necessary. It is estimated that 5 patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes for one home visit. The visit requests are put through to the on-call Triage Nurse or doctor who will take all the relevant medical information and assess as to how urgently the problem needs to be dealt with. If possible, please telephone before 10.00 a.m. as the Doctors make their visits after morning surgery.
