At each committee meeting spending requests from the surgery staff are discussed. During the past 6 months the following have been purchased for the benefit of both patients and staff.
- Publication of the May newsletter to patients
- A free-standing picnic bench for the Parent & Baby Group
- 3 fabric holsters for patients needing palliative care
- A spirometer costing £2000. Very useful for the diagnosis of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) which is currently underdiagnosed at the surgery.
- Outdoor furniture for the use of groups attached to the surgery and for surgery events
- Paediatric Pulse Oximeter for children.
- We are currently negogiating the installation of an Induction Hearing Loop for the Reception area and the Education room. This will clearly benefit patients with impaired hearing.
