| Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery or by calling at reception. We have a system, which means that we can offer our patients an appointment on the day of contact. We also have appointments available to book up to three weeks in advance. We continue to offer a doctor and nurse advice service through our triage system. Please remember that each appointment is for one patient only and is 10 minutes long. If you have several problems, you may need to book a double appointment or make a further appointment to discuss them. It would be helpful if you would be punctual and could cancel any appointments you no longer require. A relative or a friend may be helpful and is welcome in your consultation with the doctor, if you wish. Complex problems can be better dealt with by requesting extra time with your doctor. This avoids surgeries running late. Please ask the receptionist when booking an appointment. You have the right to express a preference of practitioner and we will always try to comply with that request, but sometimes due to holidays, courses etc. It may not always be possible to book you with the person you ask for. Please help us by contacting us in good time and cancelling any appointments you may have and no longer need, in order that they may be used for other patients. Thank you. We offer individual or family appointments, at surgery, home or community location, according to the wishes and needs of the patients. We are actively involved with many community and public health initiatives. We liaise closely with Midwives, School Nurses, Sure Start, Education, Social Services, Housing and Voluntary Services. |
